I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work and live, the Wurundjuri people of the Eastern Kulin and pay my respects to Elders past and present.
I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

I live and work on Waawiyaataanong, also known as Detroit, the ancestral and contemporary homeland of the Three Fires Confederacy — Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi — as well as the Wyandot Nation. These lands were taken through the Treaty of Detroit of 1807. I honor the sovereignty of these Nations and recognize the many other Indigenous peoples with historic and ongoing connections to this region.
